Romsey Therapy Home

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

My name is Ruth and I have been practicing Counselling, and Psychotherapy for 20 years and Supervision for over 10 years.

Seeking a counsellor or psychotherapist is about courage, commitment, overcoming and seizing all that you can from life.

My core philosophy is that in the right environment every individual has the capacity and resilience to make the right choices for themselves, and to find their way through the circumstances that they have to face.

If you make the time for yourself then between us we can create the space for you to talk and be heard, to say what you need to say, to make meaning of whatever is important for you

WHAT I OFFER

My aim within each session is to work with you to create a place where there is sufficient trust and sufficient confidence to make it safe. A place where all that is happening and all that has happened can be expressed and heard even if it is raw and painful. Where nothing that is said, and nothing that is felt will be judged, rejected or dismissed. A place to explore changes and to test out different reactions and find the way through that works best for you.

WHAT HAPPENS

What actually happens in a counselling session is that you have a place to talk in confidence about whatever you want.

To make this happen – contact me and we can arrange an initial time to meet. We can then discuss what you want from the counselling time and what I can offer.

The sessions can take place in my Counselling room in the centre of Romsey or remotely via Zoom.

Care is taken to ensure that the space is COVID safe, and I have had both doses of the vaccine.

Generally, this will be a 50-minute session once a week at the same time each week.
We can discuss how many Counselling sessions you would like and find a mutually suitable time.

The cost is £55 per session to be paid by bank transfer on the day of the session or by Cheque or cash.

WHERE

The sessions can take place in my Counselling room in the centre of Romsey or remotely via Zoom. Care is taken to ensure that the room is COVID safe. There are two steps to the door. An accessible room can be arranged where necessary.

Romsey is easily accessible by train and bus. There is one hour parking on the street.
